Rationale: The intention of the magazine is to offer music news and keep people updated with the music industrie. The magazine will focus on indie music and contain feature articles and interviews from the represented genre. The audience will find the magazine entertaining and they will feel up to date with the industry after reading.

Style:  The magazine will try to make the reader feel comfortable and at ease with the magazine. Humour will be represented throughout the magazine and it will also have a friendly, informal tone.  Adult terminology and subject specific lexis will be illustrated throughout the magazine.

Images will be the dominant feature of layouts.

·         Spotlight artist- A page dedicated to a classic artist who should be remembered

·         Top ten rules of stardom according to...- this article will feature a new celebrity every month giving their top rules of stardom.

·         Unsigned band of the month- you can enter band to win the chance to be published in this article. Every month an unsigned act will get some ‘buzz’ about them from the magazine.

·         Wylies Blog-Radio presenter chris moyles tells you a little bit about his ideas of the musical industry for the previous month and also who he thinks will be very popular in the month to come.

·         Gig list- A list of the months upcoming gigs and a short description of each along with a predicted star rating.

·         Last months gigs- The gigs featured in the previous months gig list will be briefly  reviewed and recieve a star rating. One gig will recieve a full review.

·         Staff top picks of this months new releases

·         The first record I bought was...- Each month a list of celebrities tell us what their first record they bought was.

·         Ask a star a question and win £50 if your question gets published.
