Production-Front cover Screen grabs

Here I am using the outer glow effect on photoshop to add an
ouline to my title. I experimented with colours and effects until
I found one which I was happy with.

This is me using the polygon lassoo tool on photoshop
to cut out an image of my band members which will be a
smaller image on my front cover. The polygon lassoo tool
increased my accuracy and neatness to give more of a
professional finish.

This is the polygon lassoo tool
which I used

Here I have cut out my main image in the same way that I cut
out the image of my band. I have dragged all of the pictures into
my magazine and also added a small amount of text and my barcode.

Next, I added a background to my front cover, I chose a grey colour
at first but I changed it later in the productuion process.

In this image I added a brick wall as my background and also
added some wooden flooring to the bottom of my magazine.
I made teh wall darker with an inner glow. So that it fitted
better with my colour scheme.

Next, I added my coverlines using the text tool and I also added
a 'free' bar at the bottom using the box tool and I gave this an
outer glow to make it stand out. I used the circle tool to draw a
circle to put my 1st issue information inside. At trhis point I also
changed my colour scheme, as red seemed more appropriate for
my genre. I also drew boxes with the intention to put text inside
the boxes on the right hand side.

Here I added a box with a coverline about 2011 festivals. I used
the box tool to draw my box then the text tool to add text inside
the box. I used different sized fonts and different colours so that
certain words stood out
